The 2008 Conference on Computational Physics (CCP2008) from August 5-9, 2008, in Ouro Preto, Brazil, covers several fields of computational physics.
The purpose is to continue the series of meetings that started in 1989, in which computational scientists gathered to present their latest results and interact with their peers from around the world.
Since 1998 the CCP meetings have alternated between Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.
CCP2008 is the first such meeting in South America and will certainly enhance computational physics in South America as well as further promote interaction among the world community.
